Questions:

Do you have any plans of finished Christmas knitting?

What are your knitting plans for the season and the winter?

Do you have a similar tradition as the lighting candles on a “Adventskranz” and adding one more candle each Sunday before Christmas?

The Altes Land near Hamburg where a lot of fruits and vegetables are grown.

I also found some sources for allergies and apples one can probably eat: Here (in English) and here (in German), in case you are interested in this. There is even a study planed about people eating these old varieties/breeds over years and maybe desensitizing themselves against „regular“ breeds.

Veränderungen

Changes

Nicht beim Blog. Sondern bei mir in den letzten Monaten. Darum gab es hier auch kaum Updates. Ich hatte schlichtweg keine Zeit. 🙁

Not for the Blog. For me in my life over the last months. Which is also the reason why I have not posted updates here, I simply did not have the time. 🙁

In short: I started writing my final thesis  ending of March/beginning of April. I had to hand it in on 29th June. When I first started I had not yet known the result of my last written exam. The results came a few weeks later. Positive. 😉 In March my dear bf had move to the North to Hamburg  and from April on I have been visiting him more often in our first appartment that we live in together! My visits got longer in May and from the beginning of June on I just stayed here. Well, with some moving weekends to get my stuff here too.

I finished writing my thesis on the 27th June late afternoon. We again went to Greifswald the next day to finally empty my old appartment and hand it over the next day. Well, After that we just went to the Copy Shop on Monday, let them print and bind my thesis and I haned it in. That was it!

For those not familiar with the German university degrees: I was studying towards a Diplom degree which is one of the „old“ German degrees. Old as in before they changed to Bachelor and Master. A Diplom usually took 4-5 years to achieve and kind of is like a Master but you do not have to do a Bachelor or something before. It’s one degree. My university is the last one in Germany offering Business Administration as a Diplom and not as Bachelor and Master’s degrees.

So since June I’m officially a citizen of Hamburg now and enjoyed my free time. I was at the end of my mental tether. Since August I have some kind of side job so I won’t get cabin fever from being at home all the time.

Stricken/Knitting:

deepredcables-text

I’ve not been lazy. I’ve also finished a few things. This cardigan for example. It actually has buttons now instead of stitch markers. But I don’t have a decent picture… Pattern by the way was Aidez by Cirilia Rose. Yarn: Drops Nepal in Deep Red.

And some socks for the pondalong CAL which is hosted my HerbstblattRegina from the HerbstblattRegina Podcast. Knit with Vicky’s beautiful Baerenwolle Baerfoot Sock yarn in Pond. And some Regia in orange.

In progress: Currently I’m working on a light summer cardigan in turquoise and gray glitter yarn by Zauberwiese – bought at Berlin Knits. I decided on the pattern „Poetry in Motion“ by Elena Nodel. As always it’s very well written although I had some problems at one point. 54 stitches could not be put between 225 without giving my a sleepless night. So far I guess I’m halfway through the skirt part.
