MU Monday – die letzten Wochen

MU Monday – the last weeks.

MU steht für Make up (for the last weeks), also Nachhol-Montag, da ich die letzten Wochen kaum Zeit oder Muße hatte hier etwas einzutragen. Mal sehen. 🙂

MU stands for Make up (for the last weeks) because I have a lot of things I did not post. Either because I had no time or not enough vigour. So I just made this up to go with the FO Friday and Wip Wednesday. I also had the idea for a Stash Sunday to sho newly acquired yarn etc. We will see. 🙂

The stripy pullover is finished – unfortunatelly it got a bit itchy after washing. Yes, handwash. And now it is too warm for an alpaca pullover/sweater. But maybe for the winter then. Size M by the way was perfect. I just made it a bit longer. And it also fits very well. If it was not for the itchyness though.

The Follow Your Arrow 2 is also finished, blocked… and no longer in my houshold. I really liked it but had a feeling of it being to small when wearing it for the first time. Not she shawl itself but the longest side was too short for me. Well, my blocking equipment was not great – a woolen blanket with a garbage bag on top. With this I could not block with enough force. That has changed now. I got myself those children alphabet puzzle mat things. This works out great. Instead of 120cm (about 47 inches) I got about 145-150cm (about 58-59 inches) length out of it. Nevertheless at that point I had already shown it to my ENT and she liked it so much… Well, she still does and I am just happy that it went to someone who knows it’s value. 🙂

Yay! Inspiriert hat mich dazu übrigens Dani vom littlebobbins Podcast.

1. scrap socks, 2. Berkshires, 3. knee socks, 4. Weekender Blanket

Furthermore I just knitted some socks – two “new” pairs and one I just made longer so they would become knee socks. And I started a new shawl – Braidsmaid by Martina Behm. I knit it with a wonderful yarn dyed by Michaela from Wollfaktor. I am still afraid that it might be too colourful but somehow it also looks quite nice.

And I got bitten by the crochet blanket bug and finally started a blanket for my sock scraps. the Weekender Blanket by Sandra Paul. It is addictive. You just crochet little hexagons – hexies – and after the first one you just join them as you go to the ones you already have. I now have crocheted 43 of them – since I use sock yarn they are very small and it takes only about 5-5.5m of yarn to make one. And did not yet repeat a colour. Yay! By the way I was inspired by Dani from the littlebobbins Podcast.
